We were THRILLED to host our great friends Chris & Robin in Budapest over the July 4th holiday. It was fun to show them around our part of the world! We toured A LOT of Budapest and also made it to Vienna for a day as well.
We did so many fun things and lucked out with great weather. Since Chris & Robin left sweet Miss Caris at home they did not have a built-in alarm clock, so we woke them up almost every morning to do something new.
We enjoyed the sights from Gellert Hill and the Castle District (even though we CLIMBED to the Buda Castle carrying Reese's stroller!). We even lucked out with a festival on the Chain Bridge the day we were down there. Robin and I got to do a little shopping a few days and the guys enjoyed a few beers at local cafes all around Budapest. We even fit in a little tennis watching at a sports bar for Chris's sake!
Since the Collins' had never been in Vienna, we took a day trip to the city (less than a 2 hour drive) and toured the Schonbrunn Palace grounds and Vienna's city center. No trip to Vienna is complete without ice cream at Zanoni & Zanoni, so after our fix we headed back home.
The last full day of their trip was spent on Margit Island at the large pool there. We had a great time showing them the "baths" and celebrating Caden's birthday at the pool!
We had a wonderful time with great friends! Thanks for visiting!!
