For the second fall in a row I traveled with a group of super fun friends to Boleslawiec, Poland to have a lot of girl time and a little shopping! The production of ceramics in Boleslawiec has been going on for over a thousand years and the blue & creamy white pieces are easily identifiable. The pieces are really functional (oven, dishwasher safe, etc.) and have recently become more popular in the U.S. Check out your local TJ Maxx if you want some of your own but can't travel to Boleslawiec!
We had a fabulous drive, leaving on Friday morning after school drop-off and arriving just before dinner time in under 8 hours. What an improvement from last years 10+ hour drive!!! We enjoyed a wonderful stay at our favorite B&B, The Blue Beetroot. They serve the most delicious fish & chips and some pretty good Polish beer too. Our hosts were amazing and set us up with very spacious rooms, providing lots of space to enjoy a night-cap and lots of girl talk. What happens in Boleslawiec, stays in Boleslawiec ;)

Saturday came early for some as we set out for day-o-shopping! We visited some of our favorite shops and factories from last year and also shopped at some new locations. I was so happy to add to my collection and shop for gifts as well! We also visited a world famous glass blowing factory and store. They have the neatest pieces - for a hefty price! It made me wish my style was more eclectic.

We wrapped up our long shopping day with pedicures & foot massages at the B&B and then another wonderful dinner. I just can't tell you how good the fish & chips are!
The drive home on Sunday was great - another "quick" 8 hours and we were reunited with our husbands and 20 children (collectively)! Kyle couldn't wait to see me...I don't think he even noticed all the pottery :) Thanks to my wonderful husband for allowing me some kid-free, girl, and shopping time!
