The first half of October in Budapest is known as vénasszonyok nyara in Hungarian (old women's summer), or Indian Summer. After suffering through some really cold and rainy days in September, we have been blessed by beautiful weather for the last several days. It is hard to stay inside! Highs have been around 70 degrees and lows around 50 degrees. The leaves are changing and filling the streets and gardens with various shades of gold and red. The city and especially the surrounding hills are bustling with people milling about enjoying some of the last days of sun.On Sunday afternoon we returned once again to the Buda Hills to meet up with Birnbaums and allow the boys to run around and get out some energy! In regards to boys and energy, man does Caden have a lot! Even after a full day at school or many hours spent at the playground, it has become the norm to hear Caden talking and singing in his bed for up to an hour or two after we've put him to sleep. Without fail, he's still up by 7:30am the next morning!

We also spent time outdoors on Saturday at Caden's school's Family Garden Party. We all had a great time visiting with other parents and enjoying different snacks & treats from around the world. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera - but I will try to post some pictures later from one of Caden's classmates.
