A-Z International Center for Children

Caden goes to school 3 days a week at A-Z International Center for Children. He LOVES it and we are very impressed with the school, his teachers and the school's administrators. Caden attended a summer program for a few days a couple of weeks before the actual school year started, and this helped him acclimate to the building and the school's "workings" before beginning the year in his regular classroom. I am often impressed with Caden's flexibility and comfort level in new surroundings, and starting school at A-Z was no different. He has been happy to attend each day.

Caden is a "Happy Hedgehog." Each classroom has a name (Friendly Frogs, Cuddly Koalas, etc.). His teachers, Tamara & Eni, are both very playful and sweet. He is settling in very well and loving playing with new friends. The facility is fabulous and the outside garden is a child's dream playground. They have a wonderful hill perfect for sleding in the winter. I've already ordered his snow suit & boots!

On Monday, Caden was the Daily Helper. He got to push the lunch cart into the class room and he also told me he was the leader (of what, I'm not sure). He has had fun attending the gym class on Mondays when he has to change into his gym clothes - too cute! On Fridays, they go to the school's library and will get to pick out a book to bring home for the week. They have been working this month on getting to know one another and learning their symbol. Each child has a symbol that represents their cubbie, towel, toothbrush & cup, art box, etc. Caden's symbol is a kiwi. He loves kiwi, so I guess it fits!

We really look forward to being a part of the A-Z family. I attended the Happy Hedgehog Parent Information Night and got to meet many of the other parents. There will also be family parties throughout the year as well as a few "parent nights out" with opportunities to mingle and meet others. The school sounds like it will be great for both Caden & us!

Caden-Wow buddy! Your new school looks really cool!! If you can remember, What were you the leader of? I am glad your symbol is something you like. Go Kiwi. Remember to share with everyone, make tons of new friends, and keep the girls at bay. That looks like a great grassy area to hone your skills in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, and golf. Love you and miss you!
Reese-Your Uncle Brett LOVES the picture of you all bundled up in the stroller. Make sure you stay very warm when it gets cold. Before you know it you will be getting ready for school with new friends so be patient. Love you and miss you!
Kyle & Mere-Kids look great, really miss y'all. Sure you are getting ready for Lele and Papa Jack to arrive. Make sure Dad goes easy on the pálinka. Talk to you soon.
Love-B
